We slept very well in the
Livist Resort in Phetchabun.
Fortunately, Pia's tooth is a lot better after yesterday's treatment.
We did not arrange breakfast when booking, we just did not pay attention to that, but we are
still going to have breakfast at the hotel.
The choice is quite limited, American breakfast or one of four Thai dishes.
The coffee tastes reasonable.
We have not made any plans for today.
We search a while on the internet and we find a few places we could go to.
The first is a flower garden, about 25 kilometers from the hotel.
The garden is there, the flowers are gone; so that was a very short visit.
The second is a waterfall, Namtok Than Thip Waterfall Forest Park (หน่วยพิทักษ์อุทยานแห่งชาติเขาค้อที่ ขค 1 (น้ำตกธารทิพย์) ).
We find this easy with the help of Google.
It is the dry time in Thailand, so there is little water, but we walk a bit along the river
with rapids and the waterfall.
The third is a palace, the Khao Kho Royal Palace (พระ เขา เขา ค้อ).
We drive there with the help of Google.
First the road is good, but then we arrive on road 2196 and there it is clear that we are
coming in the mountains.
There are a lot of slopes and bends, but it is beautiful.
On the way we stop at the Chattanooga Coffee & Resort to eat something, and that tastes good.
The palace is now only a short drive.
There is not much to see, a nice garden and beautiful views.
Via the same road 2196 we drive back to Phetchabun.
We eat again in the restaurant of the hotel, in the beautiful garden, where it is now busier
than yesterday.
There are two groups and the staff is clearly nervous.
But everything goes well for us, we eat sashimi and baked chicken, with beer and a bottle of
red wine from Thailand.
